Ways we Express our WorshipExpressions of Worship People may express their worship in different ways. For example: Clapping Hands - (Psalm 7:1) “Clap your Hands, all Peoples! Shout to God with loud songs of joy!” Raising Hands - is an outward expression of giving to and receiving from God. (1 Timothy 2:8) “I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands” Standing - is a symbol of respect. (Psalm 134:1-) “ Come bless the LORD , all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the LORD!”
Kneeling or Bowing - is a sign of reverence.
(Philippians 2:10) “At the name of Jesus every knee should bow”
(Ephesians 3:14) “ I bow the knees before the Father” Dancing - (Psalm 150:4) “ Praise Him with the tambourine and dance”
Some folk get so excited with God that their feet just cannot stay still and they “dance” before the Lord. This was a common practise in the Bible - were all these expressions.
